If you manage to install the ffp packages on the DNS-313 and enable telnet on it, should work exactly the same way.

Here is a tutorial explaining how to install ffp on it:

last detail to finish the setup ?

    Hello

After reading the work and comments of the other , I had Squeezecenter installed on my DNS-323 even before having done the choice to buy ( or not ) a squeezebox.

Everything is working fine ( with the performance of this NAS , of course )

But I have a last "tuning" to do .. and can't find the way to do it , so I hope you'll be able to help me in a minute ( as experts you are )

When I switch the squeezebox off .. I've asked to show the date / time
    but it's this "Monday 9, February 2009" and " 22,19"

I would ( and much more , my wife ) prefer to have "Lundi 9 FÚvrier 2009" and "22h19"

In fact, this is only the case when I let my squeezebox connected to squeezecenter. If I'm on the squeezenetwork ... as there is a setting to set the localtime .. it's ok there

Who can help me to please my wife ... by beeing able to show the correct format of date / time ?

    Thanks

    Question

Hi, almost ready to take the plunge.

Only 1 question - is the DNS-323 powerful enough to transcode WMA lossless files to a duet?

    Thanks,

    Ben

A newbie here. Currently using DNS323 and I do a lot of BT/Emule downloading. Will I be able to run slim server at the same time ? Would really appreciate if folks who is in similar situation can share your experience. This is the only thing that holds me back.

BTW, thanks very much for sharing the installation process.

Will this work with 7.3 on a DNS-343 by chance?

    Thanks,
    Rick

The procedure is exactly the same for 7.3.
As for the DNS-343, it should work as well, since D-Link is advertising on their german website on the product description of the DNS-343, that it works with Squeezecenter and offer Fonz's SC plugin for download, just like for the DNS-323.

    Hello,

I've received my squeezebox classic and my d-link dns323

I use a macbook as squeezecenter, my iTunes files are on the NAS.

    I have some issues :

1-Squeeezcenter does not see iTunes files until I set the music directory to the iTunes files directory
2-Squeezebox is connected to the NAS and does not work (even displaying time) when the MacBook is off...I've understood (lately) that the squeezebox does not work without a squeezecenter...

So I've found this topic that seems to allow squeezecenter to run on the nas.
    I have few questions :

1-does HDD hibernate work fine with SC installed on the DNS ?
2-does the installation of SC still so complicated than in the first post ? I am really afraid of typing all those command lines ;(
