Not quite as loud as you need even if you're trying to not disturn your neighbors, but there's always the A5's :-)

Nice pool! Mine's loud enough, but I keep it closer to the pool.

Umm...
I like my Boom as much as the next person, but shouldn't you be watching football instead?

Thanks Sue....
I think it's the bass I miss when it's outside. I put a SB all over the place kind of depending on where I'm at. This was Sunday morning and I was having coffee so I was trying to keep it down. I'm an early riser and my neighbors aren't :-)
Don't you wish it had batteries??

You will have this problem with almost any speakers designed to be used indoors. Without the usual bass reinforcement from the walls - and especially the room corners - the outdoor sound will seem to be lacking in the bass region.
This is one reason why outdoor concerts use massive sound systems and STILL sometimes sound lacking in the bass. You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...

.....
I'm not looking for a ton of bass, just a normal kind of sound. I'm used to the A5's hooked to my DUET receiver outside.
I have two outlets by the pool. One at each end. I don't really like running an extension cord out there and it would be nice to have the Boom at the chairs poolside. That way I could keep it turned down and still enjoy decent fidelity. The WiFi goes way past where I have power :-)

Howard have you tried adjusting the bass in Settings>Audio? I have my bass set to +11 but rarely/never go higher than 50% volume. It really helps with anemic sounding tracks, and isn't too much on bass heavy tracks. Be sure to lower it if you plan to crank up the volume though.

Yep...
Right now it is all the way up. And really, I'm not a bass nut at all. My 2 channel set up doesn't have tone controls or equalization. It sounds fine through my A5's with no bass added so I'm not sure what I missing, but it's fine the way it is.
When I bought it I had dreams of putting it outside because it was more portable, but now that I have it, I think it will be regulated to bedside duty, which is really what it seems to be designed for. I'll keep wishing Logitech will make a more normal boom box. A bit bigger speakers and multi-power capability. I also found the display still hard to see outside.
Don't get me wrong, I really like it and am glad to have it. I think that the DUET will work better outside, sound wise. Still can't see the display, but honestly, after I get it going, I hardly ever touch it again all day :-)
