Could you send me a diagnostics mail from within iPeng? Just tap the mail link under "Help".
Also, could you sen me a screen shot of all the settings you use in Settings->iPeng Settings (or list them).

Are the lists of albums and artists complete down to "Z"?

How much does the battery drain (in percent) when iPeng just sits there with the screen on (you can use the "prevent standby" setting for that) without really doing anything?

Just had iPengHd on, without playing music having it just not go to sleep it took 8% in less than 30 minutes and the iPad is pretty warm. server is not scanning at the moment.

    Very strange.

    Yes, they are.

Also just ran a test with Squeezepad, had it on without doing anything. My battery was not drained. Stayed the same without going down, with iPengHD I could more less watch it go down.

Guess that I started having battery issues once I got iPengHD, since then I had been wondering if there is something wrong with my iPad, before I used the other software and had no problem.

But to be honest, I prefer iPeng.
Hope you can find out what is causing this.

Well only one artist is also shown in all file lists, like playlists and listings of songs on an album. But I agree that it is most annoying when having the large NP screen displayed to show what is playing on the stereo.

In my opinion, it should be a priority to fix this. The display of multiple artists tracks looks silly or even confusing to the user (looking at the NP screen and seeing the name of a man while hearing a lady sing - Billie Holiday & Teddy Wilson, for instance). And the competition has this fixed since long.

    sort order for player list

Still getting the hang of iPeng's interface. What determines the order of the players in the players' list? I imagine there's a rule, but I haven't discerned it yet. It's definitely not alphabetical by SB name, and I don't think it's MAC address.

Its actually the order in which the server reports them. I tried sorting but it caused some kind of trouble, don't remember what it was, maybe I should try again....

Within a sync group the topmost player is the master. I think this alone is already something that could make other sort orders hard since it means the position of the whole group would have to change if the master changes within a group... Which actually can happen quite easily, e.g. when you power off the previous master while the group is still playing.

In the end I found it more important that you can see which players are synced and which ones are not, something the other Apps don't do.

Will give alphabet sorting another try besides that rule.

In the album view in iPeng for iPad when bringing up the context menu for one album in the grid and selecting bio, the bio for the artist in now playing is shown not the bio for the album artist of the selected album. Is this a known issue? The album review works as expected.

Yes, but that's not iPeng, that's a problem of the plugin. I see the same thing on the SB itself.
