I had to change the password on my router due to people using my network. Now on my ipeng wont stream to the touch.
I was controlling it using MY PC on the music source page but for some reason there is no 2 MY PC listed under players and a obscure ip address. It only appears to recognize the iphone as a player now.

Can you play your music on iPeng (on the phone) and browse the music as usual (down to the track level)?
If yes, this probably means that your Squeezebox is now not connected to the WiFi network anymore, probably due to the password change.
Please try to reset it (using the button on the back at the bottom left or the menu item on the touch under "Extras" to re-enter the setup procedure and set the new password on the touch.---

Thanks.

Im having a go at entering ip info manually. The SB touch has given me that option. I have my subnet mask, the router IP and DNS server ip but it also asks me " what IP address do you want the squeezebox to use?" Im not sure what IP address to give.

This doesn't help. If you can't connect because your network password isn't accepted, then entering an IP manually will not get you onto the network, this would only work for a wired network where DHCP for some reason is not enabled.

The only thing i can see maybe at fault is when i enter the password on the Touch screen it only gives me option to type in upper case and the letters on my password are lower case.

Passwords are case sensitive, there should be a shift key. Are you using WEP or WPA? You should use WPA

Ah. The modem is using WEP and yet my new password appears to be WPA code?? I think i need to call my network provider, i dont think i have the necessary understanding to delete and change my router config. Thanks for putting e on the right path.

Problem file
If I run into a file that plays via squeezeslave & fb2k but can't seem to be played by iPeng on my iPod Touch, do you want to know about it?
The file in question is a m4a (but named m4b) audio book created from WAV sources and encoded by faac.exe. Foobar2K reports the file as:
Duration: 5:14:42.096 (832 700 416 samples)
Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
Channels: 2
Bitrate: 52 kbps
Codec: AAC
Codec profile: AAC LC
Encoding: lossy
Tool: FAAC 1.28
Just confirmed that the file plays on the iPod if xferd via iTunes. iPeng's player produces only silence. Any ideas?
