Which connectivity bug? There are connectivity problems with the iPhone and then there is an update bug, preventing the provision of server side menus under certain conditions, but the former is an iPhone/router issue and I fail to see how the latter would cause this.
In 7.5.3 I often could see "cannot connect to server" in a few seconds on my Transporter, but then it reconnects by itself.
This sounds much more like a server or network issue to me, otherwise it would not be the Transporter and the iPhone having the issues.
iPeng uses a completely different set of control interfaces than the Transpoerter
I wonder if the iPeng app is having the same issue???
What exactly is the problme? Do you have playback problems?
    What exactly is slow?
    Which iPhone do you use?
How big is your library and are you sure scanning and syncing caches is over?

From the short description I would guess you are using a very long current playlist....
On 7.5.2 everything worked perfectly. Any iPeng updates comming up??
Preparing one but I'm not aware of any performance to be fixed.

Sometimes it is very slow to change cover, and in this period it will not
    react to commands

    About 1500 albums in FLAC

No. Does not matter if it is a playlist of 10 or 250 songs.

Ah. Ok. I don't think iPeng can do anything about this but from what the bug says it also shouldn't really be affected.

    OK, I know that one.
In that case the server actually refuses connections.
I haven't found a way to influence it, I also don't really know why restarting the App helps.

I have only seen this so far when the server was restarted while iPeng was running, though.

OK, yes, that's the same thing then. It measn iPeng just doesn't get a connection to the server done.

I'll investigate but need a way to reproducibly create that situation.

    iPeng and Tor proxy

Firstly, thanks for this great app.

I'm just having some problems when I use a proxy for my internet connection on my iPod Touch. Occasionally I use Tor to surf the web on the iPod Touch, which means that I set the HTTP proxy to 127.0.0.1 and the port to 8118 (typical for Tor & Polipo). However, when I do this, iPeng can see my Squeezebox Servers (one on a local machine in addition to mysqueezebox.com), but it can no longer see any players attached to these servers.

Is there anything I can do to allow control of my players though iPeng when my iPod Touch is configured to use Tor via this proxy?

My two players are both squeezebox receivers.

If you use tor you no longer have a connection to the local network. iPeng may still show your serverv because it never delete's a server from it's list but it can't really see it.
If you still want to use your server you'd need to expose it to the internet and manually configure it in iPeng:

You also need to make sure you can use port 9000 on the iPod.

It seems like selecting "always active??(my menu is danish)" under settings helps on the problem, though uses more battery...

You mean it helps your players to stay connected? That's surprising for me. Could it be that you are using more devices on your WiFi network concurrently than your router can handle? Most WiFi routers only handle 8 or 16 devices.

No. I never use so many devices simultaneous.

Yes, but this really means you've probably got some connection issue between your iPhone and the router.
