    Thanks

Yes, you can press and hold on track, album, or genre, or artist, and the context menu will pop up, select "add to" and add to existing or new playlist.

Is there any way you could go to an album and add multiple but not all those tracks in the album to a playlist?

In one go? No. But you can set the "mode" at the top to "add" and then just tap the ones you want to add.

The number of taps is the same as if you would select and then add them e,g through check marks.

Yes, that works but not in the way I like to do my playlists, that way means I have to have the playlist open that I want to add to then when I am finished adding tracks I have to manually save it with the same name so that the new added tracks still stay there, the way I do my playlist management while on the iPad is that I can have any music playing and at the same time I can go to any album and long hold on a track which then gives me song info then add to/other then all my saved playlists show and I just click on what one I want it to be added to but I have to do the same routine for every single track that I want added to that playlist, this will automatically save the tracks to the playlist without the need to manually rename and save again, just thought that if I had a greatest hits album but only wanted certain tracks to be added to one of my saved playlist, I could add more than 1 track at a time, no problem, happy with what I can do at the moment...

    Hi guys,

Still enjoying playback on my iPhone via iPeng while on 3G or WiFi outside my home.

Until now, I have not been running any security on my open port 3483 I tried a password on LMS, but it became too cumbersome as I needed to enter the pw information all the time, while on my home LAN. Which is where I am most of the time. My music is not stored on my LMS server, so I think my risk of catastrophic hacking is limited.

So.... who here is running iPeng with a DNS and can provide me a good way to secure the ports? My LMS is on a Mac mini server, and my router is AT&T U-verse 3801.

It is a tricky one as lots of services are required from outside the home these days, I try and either use a VPN (on router or NAS) with a good password or you could maybe try SSH tunnel but not sure if that's possible from iphone.

Hm: two things I don't understand:

    1. How do you want to set a password on port 3483? LMS doesn't allow you to do that, here you can only set a password for port 9000
    2. If you set a password on port 9000: where do you have to enter the password all the time? Your browser can store that for the web interface and iPeng definitely does so.

In general, I would also recommend the VPN. Modern routers support that quite nicely as does iOS, once configured it's just a switch in "Settings" on the iPhone. The only drawback is that it gets turned off immediately whenever you lose the connection and you have to manually switch it back on.
