7.7.1 problem
Upgraded to media server 7.7.1 and iPeng quit working.
I get the initial screen on my ipod touch or iphone,
but moving around is very unresponsive and the
"synchronizing cache" seems to hang. Is there a known
solution?

Could it be that your server is currently scanning the library or hanging on a library scan?

Has your server ip changed? Did you try to restart iPeng?

7.7.1 problem
I did restart several times (including the ipod touch itself).
I think ipeng can connect with the server and the touch.
If I try to go to settings it usually quits (though stays
running in the background). I am unable to successfully
flush the cache.

Forgive me for not finding this in all 300 pages, but is there a way to customize and clean up the left side menu like there is on the SB? I'd like to add a few of my apps to the left menu and delete a lot of the "genre" and other menu option.
Love the app!!

You can add Apps through MySqueezebox.com.
You can delete things using the party mode setting. Party mode has a configuration screen where you can set it up to only block certain menu entries.---

7.7.1 problem
So I verified for sure that ipeng is connecting
with the server and the Touch (now playing screen
shows the correct info). One interesting symptom
I noticed is when ipeng is running the Touch
itself also slows down in responding to the player remote.

Yes, that means iPeng syncs the cache, the question is why is this so slow.
How big is your library? What did you say was your server running on?---
