It even get's more strange:
The problem does not appear when using iPad as a player! Choosing my SB classic brings the problem back but only when choosing a song with iPeng for iPad. Tomorrow I will do some more tests with my other players.

Well, there are some known incompatibilities with iPeng and SBS 7.6 but I wasn't aware of this particular one and actually I can't really imagine where it should come from, there should not be any changes in the handling of tracks.
I don't test an awful lot with the current AppStore version anymore and I haven't seen issues with my current code for a while - and I exclusively use SBS 7.6 - so hopefully it will fix it.
I'm preparing a release right now so it will hopefully be out some time next week.

In any case I would like to hear more about what you find.

One more thing: This isn't CustomBrowse or Music Folder browsing, right?

No, just using the normal song list of an album as shown in the screenshot.
I did some more tests with my Touch, Radio and Receiver and alle SB player show this strange problem. It does not occure sporadically only but almost every time I choose a song from the list.

iPeng can only support what the Squeezebox supports.
I'm not sure about paid accounts (I only have a free one) but for the free ones, the Bookmarks are not supported, you can only play stations.

This is definitely weird. I've played around with it a bit and can't really reproduce it.
My next suggestion would be a "clear and rescan" of the database.

Are the tracks shown for the correct album?
I wonder whether something is broken in the way the server handles the "traditional" API (iPeng doesn't use the menu mode for this like SqueezePlay etc.); that would definitely be a server error. But I don't see this with the lastest server version.

I already did a complete new installation on my brand new Core i3 based WHS 2011. I had the same issue on my Atom based WHS 2011 one week ago.
Since everything works like a charm when using SBS Web Interface, moose, iPeng on iPod, SqueezeCommander on my Samsung Galaxy and SqueezePad on iPad 2, I don't think it's a server issue.
The tracks are shown correctly for each album.

That's especially weird since I believe the code to play a track from an album is the same in iPeng for iPad and iPeng for iPhone....well, almost, at least.

Yes, it shows and plays the correct songs of each Album - just not from the beginning of the song.
All tracks are affected.
I just did again a full clear and rescan - without any success.

Ah. Something else: You've got shuffle enabled, right?
Could it be that that affects it? If yes, I believe the next update (now waiting in the App Store approval process) will fix it.
