Just for the record, I downloaded and installed v7.7.0 and it installed and enabled on my N4100PRO, which is running v5.01.05 firmware. It is in the process of scanning the media library now.

Thanks for fixing whatever issue was previously requiring use of the older v7.5.2 with the most recent v5x firmware!

Hi! I am goin nuts....

I have no read nearly every single article in this forum but i can not fix my problem.

I have a squeebox touch and an thecus n4100pro with firmware 5.01.05

i want to install the squeezeserver

i have triede older versions of the squeezeserver. there were problems with the box. the squeezebox always tries to upgrade and downgrade the firmware.

so i tried to install the new squeezeserver 7.7.0. but i cannot start it.

i have tried with and without pearl 2.00.01 module....

has anyone the touch connected to the n4100pro? and working????

if anyone can help, i would be happy.


by the way: with the ss7.5.2 i had also problems, that my sbtouch did not plays my mp3 files. SB-Server found the files, but my sb-touch did not play it. I also did not found the solution.

Version 7.7.1 works fine with the current module, you can simply download the source and replace /raid/data/module/SQUEEZEBOXSERVER/sequeezeboxserver with one from the downloaded archive.

I will upload the new version in the next days...

I dumped LMS 7.7.1 into iletunic's install module and installed and all has been working fine for a couple of weeks now. Pretty easy to do and no problems encountered at all.

Which LMS version did you download? I know it's possible to replace the SQUEEZEBOXSERVER.tar.gz inside the .mod file with a new one, but i couldn't find out where to get a new SQUEEZEBOXSERVER.tar.gz.

Hey there, i'm having trouble with the media server on my Thecus N5200PRO, for some reason the server isn't finding any media on the folder.

I've SSH'd to the NAS and i've been able to ls to the pointed folder and seen the files on the console, yet the LMS 7.7 doesn't find any.

the files are stored in /raid0/data/medios/Musica (a simple \\servername\medios share) but no go with the server.

For reference, i installed it with the PERL module, had the same trouble, uninstalled both modules, ssh'd to the server, deleted all reference to squeezeboxserver from the /raid/data/module/ folder and reinstalled the 7.7 module alone.

it's been scanning the folder for nearly 7h now and it's still showing 0 media.

Help?

I'm currently running the N5200PRO vanilla with the FW 2.00.18.4
