As part of my random listening I came across a track which for me is simply the most beautiful track I've ever heard.
It comes from the 2nd CD I ever bought (back in 1986) and remains for me the finest love song ever.
So my vote goes to the song I danced to with my new bride at our wedding.....one of the finest moments of my life.

Though perhaps not the Finest Love Song Ever, this song was one I danced to with my new bride at our wedding some 28 years ago. And we're still dancing to

It's tough to choose one song, but my vote goes to 'I Can't Make You Love Me' by Bonnie Raitt(from Luck of the Draw).
Great song, fantastic musicianship, esp Bruce Hornsby's piano, and stunning vocal.
Bonnie Raitt herself said that 'singing it is almost a sacred moment'
Having been fortunate enough to witness one of her rare live performances of this song, I completely agree!

Before one of her visits, I constructed an SC playlist for my girlfriend, including Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight.
Turns out that's her favourite love song and she was astonished that I picked it without knowing. :-)
It's a very touching song, very well sung and very well recorded. Seeing as I didn't have a favourite love song earlier, I guess that would be it now.
Err, ahh, to chase away the mushiness I've exposed here, I do want to say that this track sounds extremely good on Boom for some reason. There must be a technical reason...Current: SB2, Transporter, Boom (PQP3 - late beta, PQP1 - early beta), SBC (early beta), Squeezebox Radio (PB1 - early beta), Squeezebox Touch (late beta)
Sold: SB3, Duet

I have to say, despite my passion for music, I struggled to think of a love song for the first dance of my wedding reception. It's not that I don't like love songs, just not sure there's one that sticks out for me.
So my (now) wife randomly chose "When I Need You" by Leo Sayer, which I can't say I'm particularly keen on.
On hindsight, "I'll Stand By You" by the Pretenders would have been a better choice but it's only after 10 years of marriage I can say that!Family Room: Receiver; Kitchen: Boom; Garden: Classic; Bedroom: Boom; Anywhere: Controller, SqueezeCommander, Android SqueezePlayer
