connect squeezebox to network located somewhere else

Is it possible to connect a squeezebox to a network in a different location, via the internet. I know about the softsqueeze solution, but i want to connect via internet a squeezebox to a squeezecenter server which is located somewhere else.

If you have static IPs on both sides, then this can be done very easily using firewall rules.

If you have dynamic IPs on either side you need to work with a IP Tunneling software.

Yes. You can set the server's IP manually in the player's setup screen. This requires that the remote SC is accessible over the internet. Which means you either open the necessary ports to the world (not recommended) or you use some kind of VPN/tunneling to forward those ports to your site.
