    Hello Abdo and welcome to the Forum. In my opinion, the best NAS is one that you build yourself. That way you know how to repair or fix it and it can be easily upgraded or built from the start with the future in mind.

    If you just have to buy one, then it really depends on how large of a music library you expect it to handle. Again it is my opinion, but the Thecus N5200 Pro is an excellent NAS to host SqueezeCenter and manage a fairly large music library.

    Probably not THE best NAS but I think SUNs "Thumper" is one of the better

    Acoustic Noise (I wonder if they count the noise coming from 48 7200RPM disks)

    * LwAd (1B = 10dB): At or below 25 C, 7.5B, at max ambient 8.5B
    * LpAm bystander: At or below 25 C, 65dB, at max. ambient 75dB

    So, not a very audiophile solution ;-D

    Nas

    THE Thecus N5200 has the capability to run SC7 without a problem and had good NAS performance for a consumer box.
    Installing SC7 is easy because it is module based and you will find a number of add-ons that are also module based.
    Thecus n5200 2Tb Raid 5 running SC 7.7.1
    2 SB3, 1 TP, 1 SoftSqueeze, Droid Max with Squeeze Control, 20,000 tracks, Flac encoding
