I've just installed CustomBrowse 2.2 and CustomScan 2.1, into my newly upgraded SqueezeCenter Version: 7.1 running on Windows XP.
When I go to the Setup Menus (SqueezeCenter -> Settings -> Plugins -> CustomBrowse) things look wrong. By this I mean that I'm seeing text such as "SETUP_PLUGIN_CUSTOMBROWSE_SECTION" and "SETUP_PLUGIN_CUSTOMBROWSE_IMAGE_CACHE" where I would expect to see something more friendly. I can't see the screen items described on
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...w_browse_menus
such as "the Settings section called Manage menus".
Am I missing a language file that would convert these items to the text described in Erland's documentation?
Any suggestions please?
Thanks.

There is something wrong with your installation.
Are you using Windows Vista ? If you do I suspect that the problem is occurred by the bug in the Vista unzip utility mentioned in this thread:

Thanks for responding Erland.
No, I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Has anyone out there had success with a similar setup? What utility are people using to unzip the installation files?
Any other suggestions gratefully received.

I don't think the problem is the unzip tool if you are using Windows XP.
Are you sure you are unzipping it to the correct directory ?
If you goto "SqueezeCenter Settings/Status", what does the "Plugin Folders" parameter say ?
Have you removed any previous plugin directory before you unzip the new versions ?
Are you using "English" as the language setting in "SqueezeCenter Settings" or have you selected any other language ?Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

Thanks for your help Erland.
For some unknown reason everything is now working fine (maybe after rebooting the PC?). Now I just have to get CustomBrowse and CustomScan set up!
Many thanks again for your help.
Best wishes,
Martin
