Hi there All!
I just got a SqueezeBox 3 Classic, it just wonderful and it works like a charm. I connected it with wired Ethernet directly to the PC with a cross-connect cable.
Three questions (sorry if too noob ) :
- is there a need for a router when using Wireless connection, or is it working too without router?
- can you confirm that there's need for a router when we want to connect SB to two PC?
- In case Squeezebox Duet, is there anything different?
Thanks in advance!

I will be getting a squeezebox (classic or duet) and am very interested in being able to hook it up without a router. I have a separate computer I want to use just as the music server for the squeezebox and it won't have an internet connection. I want to either hook the squeezbox up to it directly via the ethernet card using a cable, or get a usb network adapter and hook it up that way. Can anyone provide more specific info on how to do this?

http://www.slimdevices.com/su_documentation.html) describe how to setup the players with wired connections, apart from that all you need is a cable. You'll need to make sure the IPs are set manually - of course remember that with this setup you won't be able to access internet radio, pandora, rhapsody, etc. There might be some useful information on the wiki (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/NetworkingGuide) too.
