Question Squeezebox Won't Connect to SqueezeCenter.

I recently upgraded from SlimServer to SqueezeCenter, and it was working for a while, but now my Squeezebox Classic won't connect to SqueezeCenter. I can verify that my Squeezebox is connected to my wireless network, and my computer is connected to the same network, but they cannot see each other. Help!

This particular forum is about SqueezeNetwork rather than local SqueezeCenter so you may get more assistance in the general or beginner forum.

You don't give any details of your setup which makes it harder to suggest where a difficulty may lie. However, if I assume that you are using a Windows operating system and if you have just upgraded to SqueezeCenter you may not be aware that it operates slightly differently from SlimServer. Unless you have configured it as a service then when you log out SqueezeCenter will stop. It can also stop if you reboot the box say after an automatic update. If this is the case there is a application in the SqueezeCenter start menu to run SqueezeCenter as a service.

If you are running on Linux or Mac then this isn't likely to be the case, although it could have stopped.

In any case has anything else changed, have you installed new software, has your antivirus/firewall updated itself? Have you changed network configurations?

Perhaps as a potential just fix it all type of solution try turning everything off, the Squeezebox, the wireless router and the PC with SqueezeCenter. Then turn everything back on in the order wireless router, PC with SqueezeCenter and finally the SqueezeBox.
