Since a couple of days I tried to add RSS feeds and failed. The reason was exactly that I constantly used RSS news feed instead of Information Browser.
For me it was not clear there are two options.

Trying to understand the situation and what people are using - as this is the only way to improve things..
I presume you were using Infobrowser to looks at RSS feeds but when you went to settings to add new RSS feed , you didn't associate the Infobrowser entry in Plugins with the menu you were using or did the RSS just catch your eye and made you "blind" to the Infobrowser ?
At any point did you realise you were accessing the Infobrowser menu ?
What made you look for RSS feed under Infobrowser in the first place ? If it was a help topic/manual entry then should more info be added there about adding new feeds ?
Would making the feeds entered into RSS News tickers also available in Infobrowser help things ?

This describes exactly what happened. Browsing through settings I associated the Info Browser with RSS and RSS was the trigger word that turned me "blind".
No I did not consciously realize I was accessing Infobrowser on my Jive.
My input for a solution would be to place the possibility to edit the Info Browser feeds directly in the "Squeeze Center Main Screen" adding a "pen Icon" behind Infobrowser.
The comment on the RSS Feed setting screen starts with: "The RSS News Ticker plugin can be used to browse and display items from RSS Feeds." It could be clarified this is screen saver only.

It si not just a screen saver but it is also an "Extra" menu but only on Softsqueeze/SB/Transporter menus and has been around longer than Infobrowser so it has more prominance. It could be clarified this is screen saver only.
