Confused about all the Internet radio options

So, I got me a new Squeezebox.
    It works great.

I have a whole lot of Internet radio stations available to me, but none of the local Los Angeles stations seem to 'work'.
Is there a way to alert someone that a certain radio station isn't available?
Or, is there a list of all available stations somewhere, and an option to flag it as 'down' or something?

Also, I'm very confused about the various radio or stream operators...
I've got Squeezenetwork, Pandora and lots of stuff.
How do I educate myself on what's in each of them??

    Lots of stupid questions.
I probably can't even formulate the questions that makes sense to you guys...

Anyway: Any links to information will be appreciated.

If anybody has a streaming URL to the 97.1 Free FM (Los Angeles.. www.971freefm.com) station, I'd appreciate it...

It's working for me via RadioTime - going via Browse By Location down to LA.

Also, I CANNOT for the life of me figure out what the 'raw' URL that the Flashplayer is using for the streaming from the site...
Does anybody have the raw http url so I can test that in my SB?
