Hi mates,
I've uploaded an update of the SqueezeCenter module version 2.00.01 to the Thecus Wiki: Get it HERE
This release adds some features which were missing in the initial release:
- Added lame executable (version 3.98 beta 6)
- Added faad executable (version 2.6.0)
- Added ffmpeg executable (version SVN-r12642)
- Added mac executable (Monkey Audio, version 3.99)
- Corrected convert.conf so that ffmpeg is used instead of the (non-existant) mov123 exe
- AlienBBC: corrected custom-convert.conf: the call for flac was wrong (a minus sign at the end was missing)
- AlienBBC: AACplus should be now working somehow (hopefully, haven't had much time for testing)
Hope this update fixes some of the problems some of you have had.
Starting from the middle of this week I'll be again on a business trip for about three weeks so I won't be very responsive during that time...
Enjoy it!
Andreas

Thanks for that Andreas :-)
I will certainly be installing this in the next few days.
One question .... Does this release contain any updates to the SqueezeCenter executables/perl stuff itself or is this purely an update to the 'helper' files so to speak ?
The reason I ask is there appear to be some minor bug fixes released to resolve controller issues and I wonder if these are incorporated into this 2.00.01 release.
Thanks

It's only an update adding the "helper" files....
Haven't had the time (and I didn't knew that there are fixes) to apply any fixes for SqueezeCenter itself, sorry....

Does the 2.00.00 module need to be removed first or just disabled? I've already got a few other plugins installed and configured and am hoping I can just install 2.00.01 over top .00 to preserve config on those. If it needs to be a clean install, not a big deal, but I'll probably wait until later this week when I have more free time.
Synology DS-1010+ -> transporter -> Krell KRC2 -> Classe CAM 350s -> Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen III
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Mark Levinson 380 -> nuforce 8Bs -> Audio Physic Sparks
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Russound CAV6.6 and CAM6.6 -> whole house audio
Thecus N5200 -> SliMP3 as a desk clock/thermometer :-)

Unfortunately the module installation method for the N5200 requires to uninstall the old module before installing the new version.
I understand that this is not perfect but I don't see any easy solution for this at the moment (and I'm lacking time).
So please login into your N5200, save the plugin dirs before you uninstall the old version, install the new version and extract your plugins there. Due to the plugins are all in one directory, saving and reinstalling them should be no big deal.

Just installed this version and I got white noise when playing m4a files.
Appears that the -endian value for faad in the mov flc line in convert.conf is wrong (at least for Duet receiver - don't know if this differs on differemt receivers) - I changed "-endian big" to "-endian little" and it works OK now.

I've used SoftSqueeze for my tests...
...so it seems that these two players require different settings.
I'm not an expert for this, maybe someone with more knowledge can comment this.
