When I uninstalled and deleted the SqueezeCenter program folder, rebooted, and reinstalled, all my old settings came back. How can I remove all traces of it as if its the first time I'm installing?
Thanks in advance!

You'll find the path to prefs, logs etc. in Settings-> Status. Remove that
folder.

So all the user preferences and plugin settings are saved here:
C:\ProgramData\SqueezeCenter\Cache

rather C:\ProgramData\SqueezeCenter\prefs - in fact if you want it really
clean, just remove the full SqueezeCenter folder.

You only wrote about the program folder, not the preference folder.

A few files are also saved in the playlist directory such as favorites.opml, infobrowser.opml, alienbbc.opml and m3u playlists that you have created.

I also had problems with this. I cleaned everything I could find in \program files\ and the Windows Registry. Still, some settings were retained, like the path to the music library. Are the any hidden things in the Windows user profile maybe?

Does anyone have the answer to this. This should be in the FAQ's. I am using Vista. As the user in the above said, there are probably user profile specific settings either in a subdirectory or in the registry.

What information are you missing? Did you ever wipe that folder we've been discussing? It's all there is.
