Mr_Hyde,
Two solutions for Synology migration:
1) I give you telnet or Putty access to my DS207+ to test your scripts.
or
2) You know somebody with a very good Linux experience (as yours) who own a Synology DS and is interested in such migration.
Let me know.
Regards
Volpone

Per my earlier post, would you expect this to work with RAID1 or does the sync get in the way?

cat /proc/mounts
As requested the cat output. About standby mode, unfortunately my NAS is constantly in use by the rest of the family with al kinds of BT tasks. I'm sure they will evict me when i kill there tasks in t queue ;-). But when i first installed the utility the stop start counter did go up once. It has not done that for a couple of months. I think we'll have to move this question to the QNAP forum to find someone who can confirm your standby question.

Mr Hyde
Hmmmm. I'm not sure if I can use this. I bought a TS-109Pro with Slimserver already installed from qnap.co.uk. Like so many others it doesn't sleep properly. I saw this post from you and thought I could use your script with a 1GB stick.
However when I run usbutil.sh I get the message
Not found PS of SSODS. Please install SSOTS first!
I've never even heard of SSOTS or SSODS but I gather from a quick look around that it's another way of installing slimserver on a TS-109. I assume this has a totally different directory structure...
Am I on the right track or can someone make this script work for me please?
-Mat
p.s. I don't suppose you're the same hyde from the Toppy forums?

For the progressive installation look her:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...hlight=standby
If you wnat to use Squeezecenter 7.0+ on your QNAP than you have to remove progressive and install SSODS (SSOTS). Therefore you can use the patch of this thread which works reliable for me (also the other was working for progressive installation)
BTW, i prefer SC7.0 since a couple of improvements are included.2 x Squeezebox 3 - 1 x Squeezebox Touch - SSOTS 4.14 - Squeezecenter 7.7.3 - QNAP TS439 Pro (3.6.3) - 4 x 500 GB Hitachi (RAID5)
