    SoftSqueeze - Can't change songs

Once playing I can pause and unpause, but if I try to skip to the next song I get this error in the console I started softsqueeze in.

0 [AudioDecoder-0] WARN javasound.verbose - audioDecoder did not write (0) the same number of bytes as read (39936)

I have to close SoftSqueeze to get it to play again. SqueezeCenter 7.0, Java 1.6 on a Gentoo box.

AlienBBC: From the Windows install package for SC7.

Very similar problem - AlienBBC, SC7, SoftSqueeze 3.6, jre 1.6.0_03 XP Home SP2. Does this both on a client over LAN (proxied streaming) and on SC7 server box (direct streaming). No bitrate limiting (ie default setting).

Selecting a new station, it connects, says it's buffering (suspiciously fast count to 100%), then says it's playing, but no audio, no elapsed time count up.

To make it go, PAUSE, then PLAY and instant success and elapsed timer runs.

Same has to be done if simply STOP than attempt to PLAY same station again.

Tested switching to and fro R3 <> R4.

Believe have had similar thing with non Alien stations too.

Audio is great when it's running by the way. Mplayer as per AlienBBC install .exe.

Any ideas - it was all fine in SS6.5!

    Many thanks,

    Pete

Solved my issue by going to gslimp3. http://jefke.free.fr/coding/python/#gslimp3

Now I can change songs when I want. Would be nicer if SoftSqueeze didn't have the error though.

gslimp3 has popping and crackling. I brought up SoftSqueeze in Leopard and it is working fine. My issue must either be a JVM version problem or maybe a 64-bit JVM issue. Maybe I can force a 32-bit 1.5 version of Java or something to see if that helps in Linux.

Very similar problem to one I've been griping about http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45282.

    So far no solution.
