Does squeeze center automatically rescan the library at periodic intervals? Is this configurable?

Eric, just noticed your Rotel Equip. I also have a sqzbox connected to an RX-1052 in living room and one hooked up to an RSP-1068 in the HT. Love my Rotel & Sqzbox combos

How and where?
@ Club
Where is it? I can't find it. I was wondering why CDs I'd recently ripped weren't appearing on my squeezebox... and the timed rescan/update is missing in this new and "improved" Squeeze Center.
I even switched back to the "classic" skin and cannot find a timed automatic update on Squeeze Center... this is enough for me.
For my use and my experience Logitech are killing the Squeeze box... loading it with "features" for online music services I don't want and removing useful services for those of us who just want to manage our own home music.
Now I am really hoping for a non-Logitech fork from v6 to appear on SourceForge.
Sigh

Well for a first post that's a great way to win friends and influence people.
Why not just ask the question "can the auto rescan timer be set in SC7?"You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...

Squeezecenter Settings/Advanced/Rescan Music Library.
If it's not there, check it hasn't been accidentally disabled in Squeezecenter Settings/Plugins (about halfway down the page).

It's a plugin, always has been. Go to the plugins tab, make sure you have "Rescan Music Library" enabled and then hit the Settings link to configure. You can also get straight to the config screen from the Advanced tab,
What's been removed? I'd be the first person complaining if the local-library functionality had been diminished in SC7 as I also use local files pretty much exclusively, but in my eyes SC7 is a great leap above SS6, as is the new hardware. For my use and my experience Logitech are killing the Squeeze box... loading it with "features" for online music services I don't want and removing useful services for those of us who just want to manage our own home music.
