So far so good. Haven't tried installing any modules yet.

I mean plugins (i.e. SqueezeCenter ones) not N5200 modules, of course.

I got my N5200 just about the same time as I received my Jive remote for beta testing, which meant that I needed SC7 so never bothered installing SS on the N5200 (although I did play around with Firefly). So, I jumped on this SC7 module, which means that I might just live without my linux box in 24x7.

@smc2911
Good that the SC module works for you...
For me it is important to get some feedback and to know if the module works for others and you're the first one who gave some feedback... (fortunatly good one)

I was able to get the module running without any hitches. I disabled, then uninstalled the slimserver module before installing squeezecenter module. It took me a few tries to get through the initial configuration in SQCtr interface. I was not able to enter my squeezenetwork info and ultimately had to skip it. I did a quick check of the logs and it appears that my n5200 can't resolve DNS. This would explain my challenges in getting a weather module retrieving data running under the older slimserver module. I may have a permissions issue; otherwise will have to see why I'm not able to get to the internet from the Thecus. I can hit the shares on my internal network, so not sure where it may be.
As far as the module performance, I tested with a 7000 song FLAC library with cover art in each album folder. It took 24 min to scan the library and work through the cover art. Web interface and response was excellent as was remote response on my transporter.
I need to ship my DOM off to Claritek Monday, so not sure how much more testing I'll do over the weekend, but generally looks excellent.
thanks again!Synology DS-1010+ -> transporter -> Krell KRC2 -> Classe CAM 350s -> Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen III
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Mark Levinson 380 -> nuforce 8Bs -> Audio Physic Sparks
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Russound CAV6.6 and CAM6.6 -> whole house audio
Thecus N5200 -> SliMP3 as a desk clock/thermometer :-)

I had a similar problem a few months back, everything worked fine internally, but internet radio stations would not play.
Turned out I had not entered a DNS IP address into the Network - WAN configuration settings.
Once I entered an IP address (pointing to my internal router which forwards DNS requests to my ISP) everything burst into life.

DOH! I appreciate the pointer. I hadn't configured it on the WAN page as I wasn't using it as a router; rookie mistake on my part now that you mention it. I made the change and it looks like it wants a reboot to take effect. I'm in process of moving a chunk of data to the N5200 so will have to wait a couple hours before I can reboot and test. Thanks again.
