    Do I have to buy a NAS system?

    I am about to purchase a Transporter; however, I am not sure I want to buy a NAS system. Am I wrong for assuming all I need is my laptop and an external hard drive for storage? I am running an Apple Airport base station so I do have wireless capabilities covered. Thanks so much for the help!

    no, so long as you're happy to have your laptop running whenever you want to use theTransporter.
