New SB and finally managed to get some sort of set after a whole day! But I'm a complete novice and not very techy and having trouble tuning into fave radio station. I've cut and paste the URL into the Slimserver which now says it is tuned to the station but I am getting an error message on the SB which shows the URL but says no items found in playlist. I'm probably being dense but any suggestions pls?

First - can you confirm that SB plays music and that it can play stations from the Internet Radio Staff Picks/Slim Picks menu ?
For the supplied URL just cut & paste into Tune in.
The click the button is using SS6.5.x or play icon if using SC7.
Do you get any items on the playlist - essentially the same URL 3 times ?

stiil no joy
My SB plays music and picks up the majority of stations although i can't access some 365 stations as it says i'm not logged on to 365 even though I am - clicking log in on the slimserver page does nothing. I pasted the URL http://www.helpmechill.com/player.htm and the slimserver says i'm tuned in the left pane but shows nothing in the right pane under playlists and still gives an error message on SB. Clearly doing something wrong and getting a little frustrated but sure there must be a fix!

The helpmechill URL is a webpage not an audio stream.
Did you try with the mediaweb URL - that is an URL for an audio stream.

success!!
I have now and obviously got a lot to learn about the basics- so thanks very much. A whole day of it yesterday meant i didn't quite get it at midnight!
Any suggestions on why my SB says I'm not logged into 365 and clicking the log in button on slimserver does nothing?

Directories such as http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk help get the audio URL rather than the web page to play a station using a broswer (although this site has Chill wrong as well).
The guys who does radiofeeds is working on hooking it into SqueezeCenter so it will be accessible from remote.
Can't help with 365 - I don't use it.
