All- Please Help:
I got a new computer after using Squeezebox with the XM plugin for a few years. I have tried to install the plug-in on my new computer and it is not working. I have unzipped the file into the "Plugin" directory and there is an "XM Radio" folder in there. There is no ".pm" file and within the "XM Radio" folder I only see xml and html document and other folders with similar types of files. Please help as this is my favorite aspect of the Squeezebox and a major reason I was afraid to get a new computer.
Thanks in advance.

What version of Slimserver/Squeezecenter are you using?
What version of the XM plug in are you using?

It says the Slimserver version is 6.5.4.
The zip file for the XM plugin says 2.0.0. I had tried downloading the prior version of the plugin, but that only loaded about a 42 kb file and after reading some of the forums I saw the link to the 2.0 version.
Again, any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

I *think* the 2.0 version for XM is for use under SC7.
Synology DS-1010+ -> transporter -> Krell KRC2 -> Classe CAM 350s -> Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen III
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Mark Levinson 380 -> nuforce 8Bs -> Audio Physic Sparks
Thecus N5200 -> SB3 -> Russound CAV6.6 and CAM6.6 -> whole house audio
Thecus N5200 -> SliMP3 as a desk clock/thermometer :-)

I downloaded 7.0 and like the interface better, except I still cannot get the XM plugin to work. I tried extracting it to the Squeezecenter "Plugins" directory and the "Slim- Plugin" directory (where it looks like all of the plugins now go). It extracts the files and creates an XM directory but it only shows "Install" and "Strings" files in the XM directory (along with the "HTML" and "Lib" sub-folders). There is no .pm file which it looks like all of the other plugins have. Sorry for being a pain, but does anyone have any other ideas to help install this? Please?

Well, it's now working thankfully and thanks for all of the responses. Of course now my Softsqueeze software won't work. It made me upgrade to 3.5 and I keep getting an error that the application is unable to launch. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

I think the recent builds of SC7 have Softsqueeze 3.6 included, try the 'Softsqueeze' link under the 'Extras' menu on your SC7 Web interface.
rip (eac) > convert (flac) > tag (musicbrainz/mp3tag) > normalize (replaygain/foobar2000) > albumart (www/firefox) > transport (winscp) > store (debian) > manage (squeezecenter) > control (ipodtouch/ipeng-app) > play (squeezebox) > preamplify (zpre2) > amplify (zampv3) > listen (axiomm2/sennheiser-hd595) > scrooble (last.fm) > enjoy (me :)

I was able to get it to work using the SC7 Extras interface. Now I am (mercifully) fully up and running. Thanks again to everyone for their help.

Looks like I am having the same problem as the original poster.
I'm running Vista with Slimserver 6.5.4. Crazy thing is, I was running this same set-up, and XM worked fine, until I had some data lost and had to re-install Slimserver.
Now it won't load to 6.5.4. Any ideas, other than going to 7.0?
Sam
