    Announce: Moose 0.64 (win frontend)

Ok, busy weekend.. Available in the normal places.

    Main changes:

    * Squeezeslave - Now just launches a process - no command windows, etc
    * Squeezeslave - Menu now toggles between 'start squeezeslave' and
'stop squeezeslave'. If it says 'stop squeezeslave' it means it thinks
    it's running.
    * Cover Chooser - optmised the redraw of the non-moving layout mode.
Previously only the moving layout mode had been sorted out.
    * Cover Chooser - single-clicking a cover twice will now bring the
    pop-up menu. Handy for touchscreens.
    * Library Tree - new 'Context menu' button which allows the tree to
function without the need for a right-click. To use, select the item
in the tree, click the button, click the menu.
    * Library Tree - added touchscreen sizing to the tree, menu button and
    context menu.
    * Now Playing - right clicking the 'minimise to tray' icon will now
exit moose. Left-clicking minimises to tray, as before.

    Enjoy,

Looks great. Here's a request.. I feel bad asking for anything, since I am getting this nifty software for free... but how about a "party screen" that has elements similar to the music screens at starbucks. Very simple, elegant, shows a photo of the album and whats currently playing only, and a time bar. Maybe a slowly morphing background. Moose is 75% there already...
Would be great if it also automatically disconnected computer screensaver mode.

    Hi all,

I'm trying to use Moose for the first time and i keep getting the same error message.

"Unhandled Exception has occurred in your appication. If y click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Font 'Veranda' does not support style 'Regular'."

I have checked all the fonts used by windows and none of them are set to Veranda, nor are any of them in the same family style.

    Can Anyone Help?

There is a party mode down tools->view mode (and there's a command
line parameter too).. It's a bit basic - just removes some buttons and
functionality. It works best in fullscreen mode. If there are extra things
you want it to do, let me know..

Yes. Actually, speaking of screensavers, have you tried this guy:

    Hi..

    Not seen that before..

Which OS are you using ? It's possible that I've hard-coded the
verdana font somewhere, but it should be available on all windows
    OS's these days ?

If you've not got the verdana font, it should be downloadable from MS
    in one of their font-packs..

Actually I think verdana was added as standard with IE6..

Let me know if you cant get it going..

In my opinion, party mode should take the list view out. Have only album art (size determinable by user), with artist name, album name, song title, and time bar.

right now if I remove or reduce the size of the song list view the album art sizes up to half the screen.

As I noted before, a slowly morphing backround would be nice.
    great work.. I enjoy it.

    SqueezeSlave reconnecting

As SqueezeSlave (under windows) can't currently auto reconnect to SqueezeCenter if the connection gets broken, could Moose deal with this in it's management of the SqueezeSlave process?

i.e. Moose looses it's connection with SqueezeCenter, so stop the SqueezeSlave process, and then when Moose is able to reconnect, restart the SqueezeSlave process.

I'm feeling the doctor love over here. It works really great!

Except for the connection loss trouble as mentioned above (which is quite common for my laptop uses as I move out of the house or go put it in stand-by).

Something on my whishlist (but presumably quite a big feature to implement) is a 3-pane (now playing + playlist + library) integrated window.

It would also be nice to have some kind of library auto-update feature when the server is done rescanning (which Moose seems to pick up somehow already).

Also, I feel updating the library could be faster as dumping the entire slimserver database only takes 10 seconds on my server but the updating Moose takes several minutes.

Ahhh, I could go on forever with wishes but that would make me look so demanding while I'm actually really happy that I get this stuff for free. I would be glad to help you out with some features though.

I've managed to set Moose to start SqueezeSlave. However, I can't get it to play anything.

SqueezeSlave is running, and I can play music via the SC WebUI. But when I attempt to play something using the Moose library, nothing plays (the playlist becomes empty).

Also, when I am playing something (queued up via web UI), the main Moose screen stop button actually skips to the next track. Pause/Play toggle work, but Prev/Next buttons seem to play an incorrect song, also double-clicking on a song in the playlist plays a different song in the playlist.
