Please accept my apologies if this has been asked before but I am wondering whether the new SB Receiver will have a more configurable and accessible I2S interface so that it could be used "easily" with other DACs such as the TDA1541A, etc.
I am aware of the reclocking circuits that enterprising people have designed and shared (thanks for that!) but it would be really great if it were simply possible to wire over the I2S signals from proper ccts pads or a header, adjust a setting in the firmware and bingo! ;-) I realise that it might be a lot more difficult than that but that would be a "customers" perspective. At least this customer. (I have 3 SB3s and will certainly buy the Controller when it is released)
I notice that there are DIL header pads on the pcb with traces that look like they lead in the right direction...could this be...?
