    IRBlaster Delay Questions

I have IRBlaster 7_05_31_V413 working with my SB3 on Slimserver 6.5.3. My problem/question is around the button delay feature.

I am trying to have the slim remote power button turn my Onkyo 875 receiver on and then select the input that the SB3 is connected to when powering up the SB3. I have set the two commands up just fine and individually they work when I push the Test button just fine.

When I power on the SB3 the receiver turns on as desired but does NOT select the input. If the receiver was already on turning the SB3 on does successfully switch the input. Given this result it seemed like the issue was needing a delay after the receiver turn before selecting the input source. I played with the delay selections and could not get it to work even with both button delays at the maximum value of 10. In fact, it seemed like all delay settings gave the same nearly zero delay to my eye.

    My questions are:

    1. What are the units of the delay drop down? mSec, seconds, or something else?

    2. Does the delay selected happen before or after the button to its left on the screen? In other words, if I have two buttons in sequence and I want a delay between the end of the first and the start of the second button do I select the first or the second delay drop down to adjust?

    3. Anybody have any ideas how to get thsi to work?

    Thanks,

    gby

    Delay is in seconds

    Hello gby

The delay unit is seconds and the delay on each line takes effect for each line. In other words to get a delay of 5 seconds between the first and the second command you would set the delay on the second line to 5.
So try the standard delay of 0.25 on the first line and let's say 10 on the second. If that works decrease the second delay until it does not work reliably anymore and then increase it again one step.

    Cheers
