Hi
Does anyone happen to know the release schedule for SlimServer 6.5.5, and SqueezeCenter 7.0?
Even if there are no specific dates, a rough idea would be useful (i.e. are these releases days, weeks, or months away).
Thanks
Nick.

Someone from SD/Logitech posted a few weeks back giving early January (I think it might have been Jan 7) as a target date for SC7. I have no inside info, but I'd expect to see it before the end of January. I have no idea on 6.5.5.

The latest that I've heard mentioned is around end of Jan, but as
always, this is flexible based on what needs to get done.

There will be no 6.5.5 other than the current nightly builds. No
development work in going on in 6.5.x so the nightly has remained the
same for some time now.

Since the Duet combo is due out in January (according to logitech press release, and statements in the other forum posts), and the requirement for SqueezeCenter 7.0 for the Duet to work, I would expect an official release of 7.0 within the month.

Thanks.
OK - thanks all for your input. Sounds like SC7.0 is not too far away then.
Cheers
Nick.

And, fwiw, I've been using SC 7 (Windows XP) for a couple of weeks now with an SB1 and it's been rock solid. Granted, I'm not the most demanding user having only something like 1500 songs and only a couple of plugins. But, I've been very happy with it. Also, it's support of Live365 is much better than the old Live365 plugin. Plus, I like the new web interface better.
So, I guess I'm suggesting that you try out a nightly build.
Mitch
