    Corruption after update - debian

I'm a bit of a linux noob. I update frequently to the latest nightly without any problem. Last night's update resulted in slimserver not starting on my ubuntu box. When typing "Slimserver status" I get the following response at he command prompt.

    *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x090ca070 ***
    Aborted

I've uninstalled (purged) and reinstalled slimserver to no avail. I'm relucatant to uninstall glibc without first receiving guidance...is this the proper course of action? Any help in correcting this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seeing the same thing. My guess is that it is one of the .so's, but I havent had a chance to figure out which. This started on Tuesday, I think, though maybe a day or three before.

ok deleting my prefs didnt do it, but removing /usr/share/slimserver/Plugins/SqueezeScrobbler did. My guess is it conflicts with the new last.fm plugin for core.

Thanks - based on your message I completely purged, then deleted all folders (Prefs, Plugins, etc.), rebooted and reinstalled. It now works...

    Thanks again.
