I'm having trouble controlling Slimserver with my iPod touch. I connect fine and can control everything well EXCEPT that the skin doesn't allow me to scroll when I'm looking at a long list of albums or artists - so I can only select the ones that I can see (more in portrait mode than in landscape but still nowhere near the whole list). This is the case using the /touch skin. If I use the /n800 skin then it does scroll properly but there are other shortcomings in the interface (eg album cover view).
Any wisdom from the forum members?
Thanks
Andrew

I can just confirm that I'm seeing the exact same things as you are. I think we need a skin customized for the iPhone/iPod touch to make the device usable as a SlimServer controller. I've tried it with the latest 7.0 beta and it doesn't look any better than with the official 6.5.4 release. The Nokia770/Touch skins doesn't work and the rest of the skins has to small text/icons to be usable.
A custommized Nokia770 skin would probably work, but to make it work really good I think we need either a iPhone/iPodTouch skin or even better a native application that executes directly on the iPod Touch.
I'm sure there will be a solution that works really good with the iPod Touch eventually, you will just have to wait a bit.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

Thanks Erland, I was afraid that that would be the answer. The /remote skin can be zoomed in on to give selectable size lists - I think that's the best there is so far. It's a shame since the Ipod Touch is such a gorgeous device.

2 solutions:
1: use "two-finger scroll", that is just what it sounds: just touch the screen with two fingers while scrolling. Lame, though.
2: Wait another week until I finish my iPhone/iTouch skin (already looking quite cool, (screenshots later today...) ;-)

OK, to start with: here are the screen shots I promised.
I just realize that the language setting on the screens is German, however, currently the skin works best with English since there are some new phrases I did not translate yet...
