Hello everyone, I installed java and musicmagicserver 1.8 (Musicip).
I stopped slimserver and then started musicip, using http://localhost:10002 musicip page starts and I verified the tracks (This is the initial quick verification not full verification) When this was done i had approximately 7,500 Mixable tracks. Then I started slimserver using sudo /etc/init.d/slimserver start. When I tried to get the slimserver web interface using http://localhost:9000 the page will not load up? Any ideas anyone?
One thing i did see when starting musicip is the message recipes.xml file missing is this the problem? MusicIP support is next to useless I would be really happy if someone could help me with this.
Thanks Mark.

What does /tmp/slimserver.log say? Any error message when you try to load
the web interface?

That's imho only an informational message. I've been ignoring it for
months :-).

Thanks for the reply Michael, i tried again and now the slimserver web interface loads, i didn't do anything different. MusicIP is working.
Nearly there, could you let me know how to get Musicip running automatically before slimserver starts at startup? This will complete my slimserver / Musicip installation on my headless server.
Many thanks, Mark.

I've never done this on Windows. But did you try the official homepage?

No I am not using windows, I am using Ubuntu gutsy, so i need to get musicip running automatically at boot up and then i think i know how to make it run before slimserver. I will need to edit the Order to a number less than slimserver in current session tab.
I am having real trouble getting it to start up automatically.
I have put sudo /etc/init.d/mmserver/mmserver start in the startup programs in sessions but it doesn't start automatically.
The above command starts Musicip in terminal. I have done numerous reboots of the linux computer now, its getting annoying.

Have look at this post explaining another option for tying ss to MIP on a debian system.
