alien BBC drops out after 10 minutes on Vista machine

Hi,

Have got Alen BBC working on Vista 32 machine - but it drops the stream after a variable length of time - usually 10 minutes or so - and starts again.

I have increased buffer wait time in server settings - but still having problems. Worked perfectly on same machine before Vista.....

Backup a copy of the file custom-convert.conf in your slimservers Plugins/Alien directory in case you need to revert.

Using Wordpad (not Notepad) edit the file custom-convert.conf in your slimservers Plugins/Alien directory. Remove the text "-bandwidth 10000000" from the 3 RTSP lines.

Restart Slimserver and see if that make problem go away. A side effect of this change is that BBC stations will take about 15secs to start rather than 2-5 secs.

actually found the .alt conf file without the bandwidth instruction. That seems to have cured it
