    Seperate iTunes Library

I have my entire CD collection saved in MP3 (Why oh why did I bother???). I now have a transporter, and want to create a seperate library in lossless format, how do I best acheive this? I probably need to buy an external hard drive to put it all onto ... Can someone give me a tutorial on how to do all this? Cheers Andrew.

You can create a second iTunes library without problem!
On a Macintosh (and I guess it's quite the same on a PC), just press and hold the "alt" key during the lauching of iTunes : the software will then ask you if you want to use your current library (mp3 one in your case), create a new one, or choose between severals (not your case at this moment).
So, you just have to ask for a new iTunes library, to call it "loseless library" for example, and to convert all the CDs you want, on your internal or external hard disk, it doesn't matter.
Of course, if you want to reaccess to your previous mp3 music, just relaunch iTunes pressing the alt key and so on...

It is also OK to have the same track twice with different "kinds". Then create different playlists with the appropriate one (e.g. an mp3 playlist for portable devices, a wav playlist for home)
