Got hold of a linear power supply and now I need to get a box for it. PSU measures 280 x 125 x 85. Box should either be black gloss finish of matt aluminium, and preferably a half width size so that I can have the PSU and SB3 on the same shelf - anyone know of any (fairly cheap, ie under £50) sources for a box?

yep ...it is rather large. Got it for free so I'm not complaining. It's a Coutant HTD2 which has a 24V supply as well as a 5V but the transformer is huge and it weighs about 3.5kg

have you tried the usual suspects ...maplin, rs, farnelll, rapid ?
you could just build a perspex box ?...I've built opaque black high gloss boxes in perspex that look ok ....just make certain you have perspex adhesive ....use off cuts, cut to square section and glued to the corners to ad considerable strength to the case.
