Listen to The Complete Gerry Mulligan Meets Ben Webster Sessions

    Title should read "Listening to..."

Haven't really listened to this set after I bought it years ago.

And boy, this is enjoyable music. This is one of my recent musical shining moments, sort of a recurrance of an epithany - that this is why we are in this hobby to start with.

    More good jazz

You may also like Ben Webster And Harry Edison, Complete Quintet Sessions, and Complete Sextet Sessions. Also Lionel Hampton and Oscar Peterson complete box set. Great swing'n jazz.

After sampling just 1 track (Chelsea Bridge) , I bought the CD (LP long gone) and am listening now.
    Thanks.
    Excellent, precise - recording,mastering.

Mulligan learned much about time and tone from Webster.

Speaking of Webster, "Webster meets Oscar" is also phenomenal.
Ben Webster backed by Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Ed Thigpen (THE Trio) ... pinch me.
