    The long-awaited Slim Boombox

Well, not exactly. But with an SB3, a pair of Audioengines, a couple of handles and some velcro, you can come pretty close.

I've been looking at that combination myself. It sure looks good, but what about the sound?

Now you need to attach the speakers together so that they're no more than 18" apart, attach your SlimServer computer, and add a battery pack large enough to power the computer, Squeezebox and speakers for a couple hours. Then toss the whole thing into a wheelbarrow large enough to haul it all around.

Sounds good with some real punch even outdoors. Better than any real boombox I ever heard. No boombox has the hefty build quality of the AEs.

Hey, is that a hot tub on the promenade deck?
