I can't beleive the number of 'reviews' of speaker cable. Frankly I have a hard time believing that cable can really make an audible
diifference...
Anyways, I'm told that it can make a difference, so I'd like to invest in something better than what I have.
I've read a good review for DH labs Q10, and the price seems right.
Can anyone offer their own preferences based on firsthand expereince?
I was also wondering if there is a DHlabs dealer in downtown Toronto?

Yes cables make a difference and different cables with different amp- speakers sound different. Why not TRY some out and see what works best? These guys loan cables for home addition.. http://www.fatwyre.com

Cables make a difference, but probably mainly due to the differences in RLC they present to the amp. My low inductance (low L) cables caused oscillation in one of my older amps (which was designed before anyone had even tried anything but normal figure-8 cable). But even if nothing as severe as oscillation happens, the margin to oscillation may be affected, which will affect sound. The damping factor will also be affected depending on RLC.

cables
I have purchased IC cables from these folks -
http://www.uhfmag.com/Cables.html
- they will accept returns for a full refund, less shipping costs.
And the terminations also make a difference, but mainly, make sure everything is TIGHT!

The importance of cables is highly debateable.
Have a look at this link:

I'm skeptical that speaker cables can make an audible difference, too. But if you're going to try something, check out http://anticables.com/home.html; it could save you a lot of money.
Also read what the Audio Critic has to say about cables: http://www.theaudiocritic.com/back_i...ritic_16_r.pdf (page 51).Last edited by Ron Olsen; 2007-02-05 at 10:27.

2nd on the anti cables. At around 80.00 they replaced my 3,000.00 cables.
I will happily sell you the 3,000.00 cables for 1,500.00 :-)
I mean , they are sooooooooooo much better :-)

My current loudspeaker cable is the 6mm^2 one here:
http://www.clasohlson.se/Product/Product.aspx?id=253112
Art.nr: 49-228-5
SEK 229,00 for 10 meters. About $30 or so.
Terminated with good spades.

Try CAM as well
CanuckAudioMart -- I noticed earlier after a google search that the OP's requested cables are there, used.
When I meant TIGHT, I meant tight with a PostMan tool, NOT using a 12Inch Adjustable reafed down.
The 10% rule is what I try to cable with: $1000 speakers, then $100 for the cables, the same for IC's. Junk speakers, then ZIP cord will do!
UHFMag are out of Montreal, and they do own a SB3, FWIW.
