I would like to start encoding in FLAC vs. MP3 for my library, but I don't want to unless I can run a process to automatically convert my large collection into MP3 via some program easily on demand. I know it would potentially take a long time to do it, but it would be far easier to convert files than re-rip the CDs for the odd chance something doesn't support FLAC. Is there a program that makes this conversion a simple command line process?

Foobar2000 will also convert from FLAC to MP3 (and other formats) in batch mode.

I can higly recomend theese two
I would recomend Xilisoft Audio Converter. I use this for converting my Flac files to MP3 for my Sandisk MP3 player. It can convert to Ogg Flac MP3 WMA etc, and is the converter that have worked the best for me, and I have tried a few...
J River is also a good Mediaplayer, that will convert on the fly when adding music to portable media players, I can highly recomend it, if you set it up propperly it woorks like a charm.Last edited by stejorge; 2007-02-12 at 10:21.
