Music/Playist folder on a mapped network drive

I recently purchased a NAS device (the D-Link DNS-323) and thought it would be a good idea to relocate my music (among other things) off of my server to this device for safekeeping (I have it running n RAID1 mirroring mode). When I try to re-point the SlimServer (v6.5.0) Music Folder to the newly mapped network drive (rather than the local hard drive), I get the message: Oops = "M:" doesn't seem to be a valid directory. Try again.
The same holds true for the Playlists Folder.
I'm assuming there's some sort of issue using mapped rather than local drives. Can this be (easily) overcome)? Thanks.

Unhappy Network drive..... faq info did not work

    Hi,

I have a Necus n2100 drive mapped to a static IP address 192.168.2.6 which is drive (z:\) so first I tried pointing slimserver to Z:\music which is the folder I have my music and playlist folder moved to. This did not work so I found the suggestion in this thread to read the faq. so then I tried this \\192.168.2.6\music with the same results. Slimserver does not recognise this as a valid path. I am using winXP sp2 Please Help

    Mitch

ps. I can click on the mapped drive icon and see the folder within winXP!!!
