Fade out until sleep?

Is it possible to let the sound level decrease from current level to zero (fade out) when using sleep mode?

I cannot find any information about such a feature. I really would appreciate if somebody can help. Perhaps I could do a request for a plugin - but where should I post it?

Sounds like a very useful feature for a sleep mode
