Hi everyone,
I'm considering buying a squeezebox, but, knowing logitech bought slim devices, should I wait for it to appear in retail? Will it go worldwide? How about pricewise? Drop in price, or not really?
Thanks for any input.
Pedro.

My feeling on this is that SlimDevices products are currently a known quantity. The quality is very high, and the sound quality is superb.
We have no idea what Logitech's plans for the future of this product are ... but it doesn't seem likely they'll make it better. (That is not to say they'll make it worse either)
If you like what you see now, then buy. In my opinion, the price-point is right for the quality of the product.
If you find the price too high now ... then maybe wait, but there is no guarantee that Logitech will lower the price. Or if they do lower the price, there's no guarantee they won't use cheaper components to do it.

Buy it now. These things are fantastic. (Not a paid endorsement!)

I'm guessing that whatever happens you'll be waiting a while before a Logitech version! Buy it now you won't regret it

agreed.
the current product is absolutely, and quite simply, execellent. The real plus about logitech is their marketing and distribution capability. If the product takes a step backwards, it will be all on logitech's shoulders. Any improvements will be about "integration". The audio quality, and UI on these devices are simply fantastic."

Also agreed. No need/reason to wait IMO, and I must say the SB3 is one of the greatest audio purchases I've ever made. I can't believe I waited so long to try one of these little SB3 gadgets, it is extraordinary in sound quality, build quality, and user interface. Further, absolutely no issues so far AT ALL! Very, very pleased.

I would not wait for a "Logitech Squeezebox" just for (eventually) saving some bucks. For me it is more important to have/use/... my Squeezebox NOW.

Depending on where you are located, you will wait for ANY Squeezebox.
Stocks have ran out in the UK again :-(
I think that says how good the SB3 is.....?

Import
Mine arrived from TechPushers (California) last week. The only problem was the 2 and a bit week wait for the beastie to arrive.
Fantastic piece of kit.
We now watch Tivo and listen to the Squeezebox!!
Go for it now, you can find yourself always waiting for a better time to jump.
