Who administers DeviceID numbers?

Hi, we are developing several media players that support the Slim protocol. I would like several numbers that can be assigned to the clients (two hardware devices and one soft client based on mplayer). Who administers DeviceID numbers passed by the client to the Slimserver using the HELO command?
