    SB1 circuit info

Just wondering if SD has ever released circuit info.
At one time I was able to locate the description of a connector on the circuit board that could provide signals to turn on/off an external amp.
I have searched on every keyword I can think if, but no joy.
Can someone point me in the right direction.

    SB1 Geekport

    Hi there

Sean posted this information a while ago and I am reposting
it from my notes - so I am not 100% sure it's still correct.

I guess the pin that might be useful is pin 11, but I've never
    tested this.

I personally only used pins 1,2,7,8 so far.

    Cheers
    Felix

    Pin - Function

    1 - GND
    2 - +5V
    3 - +3.3V
    4 - +2.5V
5 - synch, serial debug out, clock
6 - synch, serial debug out, data
    7 - i2c clock
    8 - i2c data
    9 - infrared input/monitor
    10 - general purpose i/o (doesn't do anything yet)
11 - s/pdif en indicator (might drive rem. ampl. turn on)
    12 - s/pdif out 0 to 3.3V
    13 - ethernet activity LED
    14 - ethernet link LED
15 - decoder reset line (not useful)
    16 - mixer input - analog left
    17 - mixer input - analog right
    18 - mixer input - s/pdif (0 - 3.3V CMOS input)

    Thanks Guys!

Pin 11 is the one I was thinking of using.
Have to break out the trusty logic probe.
I have to admit the i2c pins look tasty.
Do they just send commands back to the servir like the remote?
Has anyone thought of hooking up an i2c keyboard encoder to provide a local control panel?
Probably already been discussed to death (I've been out of the loop). Have to dig around.

    i2c only as output

    Hi mgscott

i2c on SB1 can only be used as outputs, but not inputs, since SB1 firmware doesn't support it.

Check out my IO Extension here:
