That sounds pretty much like the problem I had until I deleted the db. The build of the database is very different between 6.2/3 and 6.5 branches.

Thanks, after several un/reinstalls I've managed to get 6.5 working - however I've still got my original problem which caused me to upgrade in the first place . . . SlimServer isn't picking up any of my iTunes playlists.

I've taken a look over both of those pages but it's not quite what I'm seeing . . . my iTunes library has about 10 playlists in it but SlimServer doesn't seem to be seeing any of them - I have no playlists showing on the Squeezebox or on the web interface (as opposed to people having empty playlists)
I've tried several settings on the iTunes page on the Server settings where you can set the location of the Library.xml file or the location on the music itself but no joy from any of them.
