Remote 12V Power Trigger Amp Switching

Does anyone know of a way to get a SB to switch on a power amp using the remote 12V Power Trigger feature found on some amps.

My power amp is hidden behind the couch and it's a pain to get in there and switch it on/off all the time. The mains power switch is easier to get to but that's no use as it just puts tha amp into "standby" mode and I have to push the on/off button on the front of the amp anyway.

Anyone else come across this issue?

Search the plugins page -I seem to remember seeing somewhere where someone had come up with a diy solution for this via the headphone output....

    Great,

I had forgotten about the headphone socket. What a great idea.

I will do some more research but at least I know the options there.

    Thanks.

For semi-DIY'rs, it's too bad someone doesn't make this cable. I'd certainly be a buyer of one.

I have just bought a Bryston 4b sst power amp. I am really keen to get this 12V trigger working as the power switch on the front of the amp is even harder to get to (behind the couch) than my last amp.

I am handy with a soldering iron but has anyone successfully built this cable, as I will need some guidance?
