stream output from winamp or sound card

Hi there,

I would like to play output from another piece of software into my squeezebox. The software uses winamp to queue up songs.

Is there a way to stream output from the soundcard or winamp software to an mp3 stream? I'm thinking if I can capture what is going out the soundcard and create a stream from that, then I can put that mp3 stream to play in slimserver

But how to capture general sound output from windows to play in an mp3 stream?

if you are using winamp, you can install the shoutcast plugin for
winamp, then point the slimserver at the shoutcast stream.
This will then route anything that you play in winamp through the
squeezebox.
