Best FLAC settings on "File Types" page?

I only play flac and mp3 files so I have deselected all others.

    There are 3 flac settings:
    FLAC - FLAC - (built-in)
    FLAC - MP3 - flac/lame
    FLAC - WAV - flac

    1 for mp3:
    MP3 - MP3 - (built-in)

    and 3 for wav:
    WAV - FLAC - flac
    WAV - MP3 - lame
    WAV - WAV - (built-in)

I'm on a wired network so what should I select for the best performance/sound quality/gapless playback?

    Thanks

For Flac, you can just leave it as-is. Then make sure that you don't have bitrate limiting set in your player settings.

The server will then stream Flac as Flac to Squeezebox 2s and Squeezebox 3s, while transcoding to WAV for older Squeezeboxes.

So leave all flac. mp3 and wav options selected? I have bitrate limiting turned off and I'm using a SB3. Thx

Just select the built-in options and you'll be golden. The SB decodes both FLAC and MP3, no need to transcode.
