UI Nuisance Now Playing

I find the double use of the now playing button to cause me trouble.

If you are not in now playing mode, it jumps to now playing.

If you are in now playing, it changes the display format.

If the screensave jumps to now playing just as you are pressing the button to jump to now playing - you unintentinally change the display mode!

Maybe a long push to change modes? Or maybe a lock display mode toggle - long push locks or unlocks the mode?

6.5 builds currently have a different ui for the now playing options.
If you always want just one particular display, you can remove the
other options from the list, or even shorten it to the ones you do
like. It doesn't remove the problem completely in this case, but
reduces the cost of it.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

What do you mean by "if the screensaver jumps to
Now Playing as you are pressing the button to jump
to Now Playing"? On mine, the screensaver remains
on unless I press something. It never goes back
on its own.

I think he means that the Now Playing screensaver kicks in.

I.e., you hit play on a track, wait, say 29 seconds, get sick of
waiting for the 'Now Playing' screen, and go to hit the button
yourself.

Just then, the Now Playing screen pops up by itself, and your
button-press results in changing the Now Playing screen format
instead.

>From what KDF said, 6.5 should help alleviate this; if you don't want
to see other formats, at least.
